Yeah, poorly bound books are a pain. Classics are generally fantastic value on the Kindle - Frankenstein is $5. Aw jeah

I expect so. Ultimately ebooks stand a good chance of replacing mass-market paperbacks entirely, leaving paper books to become limited editions for enthusiasts.

While I'm here - Amazon just busted out the Kindle 3. Mostly the improvements are iterative; it's smaller, lighter, faster, and it has more space, more battery life, and better screen contrast. The main addition is Wi-Fi support. There's now a very affordable $140 option which lacks 3G and uses Wi-Fi exclusively.

I'm glad they seem to be focusing on driving the price down rather than loading it up with features. The main problem for e-readers at the moment is the lack of a cheap option.
