Fianl Fasntay 13 DOUBLE THREAT

I know nothing about this other than it has got time travel in it and the tutorial lasts less than 30 hours. Incredibly, the single most repulsive thing about this game to me is that it has got moogles in it. oh my gOD SHUT UP

don't think i'll be getting it. it's way too... japanese for me. kind of like how 10-2 was you know? there's just a threshold that if crossed i refuse to play and this game crosses it

i only saw totalbiscuit play it for like 10 minutes and he seemed to think it was alright, but he never played 13 so can't take away much from that

i could tolerate the japanese-ness if it was localised better, but all the dialogue is such a trainwreck i'm pretty sure it would stress me out to play it

it is honestly upsetting to me that with the new final fantasies and blizzard's new work big budget game writing actually seems to be getting worse

I've heard amazing things about it. Apparently the game has fixed everything that the fans hated about 13. Less linear, more exploration, and whatever the fuck else (sorry I never played 13. Tried but just couldn't)

whatever the fuck else is the dialogue that we have been talking about. that and the story are the two things that made it unforgiveable and based on the trailers i can guarantee you that they haven't done shit to fix it

From the trailers it certainly looks better than XIII. But that's a far cry from being anything close to good.

I've been meaning to look into it more because the combat is supposed to be better. But there's such a strong possibility that it sucks that I don't know that I care to.

The fact that they pretty much abandoned all of the original characters is a little telling. I hope it has little or nothing to do with the previous "story" too.
